GB 42590-2023 "Safety Requirements for Civilian Unmanned Aircraft Systems" is the first mandatory national standard in the field of civil unmanned aerial vehicles in my country. The standard was organized and formulated by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and approved by the State Administration for Market Regulation (Standards Committee). It will be released on May 23, 2023, and will be officially implemented on June 1, 2024.
As a supporting standard for the "Interim Regulations on Unmanned Aircraft Flight Management", GB 42590-2023 is applicable to the development, production, delivery and use of micro, light and small civil unmanned aircraft systems except model aircraft, providing a unified and clear technical safety framework for the industry.
